Jonathan Rigsbee asked me to transform his Kitchen from a very dated, Pickled Oak finish to a rich dark cherry finish. I accepted the challenge and we decided to present this newly refinished kitchen to his wife as a surprise gift upon their return from a visit to

New York.

I believe that decorative finishing is a search for beauty and inspiration. Colors can be found in sunsets, rivers, trees and even the cheeks of little children. I believe that our search for beauty in adornments and design is, at root, a search for perfect harmony; and by extension, a search for God in our daily lives.
